We are pleased to announce that we have achieved SILVER accreditation status by the FAW Trust for this season 2020/21.
The aim of the accreditation scheme is to raise standards at every junior club in Wales’ six area associations, so parents can be confident in the care their children will receive at their chosen club.
The accreditation process ensures clubs have more and better coaches, all qualifications are valid and the provision and procedures in place are conducive to positive experiences for all players.
The FAW Trust recently conducted a club accreditation survey which stated that 74% of clubs felt that club accreditation had a positive impact on club development by raising coaching standards, increasing the profile of the club and improving club structures.
InIine with our club development goals, we have been improving the qualification standards within the club over the last couple of seasons maintaining our high level Bronze award for the last few years. This season we have improved on our status again and achieved Silver award status. We achieved this by increasing the number of FLA qualified coaches, increasing the number of Goal Keeper award coaches and now have C licence level coach who then takes an active part on the coordination of coaching activities within the club.
Our club development journey is an ongoing process to ensure the club moves forward and in parallel to celebrating our success in achieving Silver status award, we can now lay the foundations to continue along our accreditation road map and aim for higher accreditation levels hopefully achieving gold status within the next few years.
Ultimately we can only achieve these current and future attainment levels by the 100% commitment by all of our volunteers who make Ty Celyn Junior FC a vibrant, safe and community led sports organisation.
